Fairy Tale

As we were standing in a crowded train early Monday morning; we couldn't help but noticed this man sitting in front of us, sleeping. He was wearing a silver chain with a tiny oval charm. In this little oval charm picture frame, is a photo of a little girl. She was wearing a tiara. Her dress also has little lace trim around her collar. She looked like a little princess.

Looking at this photograph, it reminded us of when we were in the school library, watching a film together. We remembered how fascinated we both were by all the little animals that came to assists Cinderella in creating her gown. All her little magical friends pulled out their needles and thread. They together sewn up her gorgeous gown from drapes and curtains to help prepare her night, to meet her prince.

The little mice were her friends. They were her seamstress and designers. We decided to celebrate these little creatures that made Cinderella feel beautiful, and presentable to her prince. We created this ring with their tiny tail, wrapped around our finger. We hope this ring will remind us how we can use our hands to create, draw and be creative with our work. Let us always have wonderful friends. May we have friends we can share our fun moments, joys and laughters with.

Treasures

When we were little girls; our Grandmother gave us a pair of antique gold scissors. Our Grandmother supported our dreams. She knew we were both going to choose the path of becoming artists. We would spend hours, cutting up paper dolls and making paper dresses. As we got older; we understood the significance of a pair of scissors to a Fashion Designer. They are like paint brushes to a painter or a hammer to a carpenter. The pair of scissors is what we use to cut a piece of muslin or paper pattern, both completely flat. It is magical to direct this tool, like a magic wand and have the ability to transform something completely flat into something almost 3 dimensional; especially when worn or draped onto a dress form.

We decided to celebrate this special tool that we sometimes take for granted. We made it into a charm to be worn around the neck. The scissor is done in an antique silver finish, hung on a 26" long chain. This scissor is so significant, yet so easily forgotten. Let us wear this charm around our neck. May this pair of scissor continued to be used. Let us have fun and continue to create more beautiful things to be worn and to be adorn.

Happy Dogs

One of our favorites things to do on the weekends is taking Gracie for a walk at Central Park. She is a 16 Lb King Charles Spaniel, who is fearless in everyway. She is our little best friend who brings a big smile to everyone that walks by. Gracie never hesitates to greet anyone that strolls by her. She is quick to roll over for a little quick belly rub. She has the personality of a clown. She is silly, friendly, lovable and huggable all at the same time.

My sister and I decided to design a canvas tote bag with all the fun characteristic we see in Gracie. We decided to give this bag a vibrant crayola blue. We outlined it with a bold black line to give it more character. We both have a love of animals and hope you find a little laugh in this adorable fun, animated, playful tote bag.
